Intro Nirvana

Hello, visitors! Thanks for reading. In this blog I plan to write about things that happen during Meditation Group (as yet the group has no name). So far, Jake, Audrey, Katelyn and myself are the members of the group and we try to meet regularly on Sundays. Our approach is to study a variety of different meditation practices, do them, and see what happens. At some point, we might incorporate reading reports into each meeting’s itinerary. Each of us come to the group with different goals, attitudes and approaches in mind; in this blog I will catalogue how we each influence the group’s dynamic. I will do this in part to help make sense of it for myself and also to share my “individual interior” perspective with the other members of the group. Sometimes it is easier to type than to say, and typed words provide a non-volatile record of the though process.  That’s the simple plan for this wee blog.  A quick word about my own perspective: I am approaching meditation practices as a way to actively engage my own evolution. I wish to be a better person all around: more caring, more connected with other people, more at ease with the struggles in life, and clearer sighted. I do think that mediation is key for helping us all grow into better, more conscious people, and we will find out which practices are best suited to helping each of us meet our goals.
